XD-E500: Toshiba XDE DVD Niggles At Blu-ray

Toshiba XDE DVD

Toshiba did not seek to needle Sony and the rest of the Blu-ray.  Their latest idea is XDE.  At the beginning of this year we all witnessed Toshiba HD-DVD, as it was, is and then left. But now they’re back an increase in DVD and, where appropriate, to try and undermine the drawing Blu-ray.

XDE, or “eXtended Detail Enhancement,” technology, Toshiba claims more than a DVD upconverter - in view of ‘normal’ DVD resolution to be able to show them the HD TV.

The theory is that people have invested considerable amounts of money on their DVD libraries over the years, and rather than have to replace them by buying Blu-ray version may spend $ 149 to buy XDE DVD player instead.

While the change in the resolution of 480i / p to the 1080th, there are three other optional improvements - Sharp, color and contrast.
