UMTS 3G iPhone in Japan by Softbank

Japan’s third-largest mobile phone operator, is now the rights of Apple’s iPhone. As has been the norm recently, the announcement is a one-liner, without any details relating to the exclusive (NTT DoCoMo and KDDI still can not have been chanceburger), or a model … although it should be noted that Softbank is a W-CDMA (3G UMTS), does not GSM / EDGE carrier. Softbank only say that they are selling the iPhone “later this year.” (via)
