The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is an Anglo-German supercar jointly developed by Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive, built in Portsmouth and the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey, England. Daimler AG, owner of Mercedes-Benz, also owns 40% of the McLaren Group.
Mercedes-Benz current iPod integration kit is a relatively weak sauce, especially since the new COMAND nav / multi-media system is so well done, but it seems that the latest automaker iPhone cradle to implement measures aimed at providing some more glaring issues, and also add some interesting new features. Kehto seems at last to integrate the iPod controls, which have as their main nav screen and the COMAND controller, rather than merely an instrument display and steering wheel controls, and it will charge your phone while allowing you to make and listen to music. In addition to plugging the phone, apparently intends to increase the reception of the use of the vehicle antennas, as well as iPhone’s, and what we can tell, you can use your contacts list, as well - something MB’s current Bluetooth system that is not possible. If you have already received the iPod kit, or Media Interface kit, the adapters are needed to drive you to € 39 ($ 60), and the cradle itself is now available in Germany for € 249 ($ 385).
