Sigma DP2 Digital Camera 14 Megapixel : Sigma DP2 announces new compact digital camera featuring a 14 megapixel FOVEON X3 direct image sensor (2652 × 1768 × 3 layers), which is used in the Sigma SD14 digital SLR. Sigma DP1 introduced with a direct image sensor as used in the Sigma SD14 digital SLR on the market in March 2008 as “a unique, revolutionary, compact digital camera with full force and a digital SLR. DP1 set up a multi award-winning strong support from a wide variety of photographers and amateur and professional. Building on this success, Sigma DP2 is equipped with a 24.2 mm F2.8 lens, equivalent to 41 mm to 35 mm SLR camera, to enhance the creative possibilities and excellent image quality, improved handling and performance.
The lens was better, upgrading to a faster F2.8 glass lens set at 24.2 mm - which works out to the equivalent of 41 mm to 35 mm SLR. Personally, we would like to Wideangle lens (say 28 mm or 35 mm), which appear to be more appropriate for Street shooting little like this. [letsgodigital]
