If you are a Linux user and would like to run Google’s photo organizing and editing software Picasa that OS, your wait is over. Google has released
Linux port of software based on the latest available version. The software allegedly used portions of wine function, so it would not be accurate to call it a real “port”. As a result, some features are missing in this version of Picasa because of reliance on some Windows components.

Picasa 3 Beta is available for Windows now, which is not a surprise, but not for Mac. I wonder if we have this is a trend setting in Google, whether it is to remember that the month-old browser Chrome remains a major Windows-only application.
