Mozilla freezes feature set for Firefox 3.1

Mozilla has pushed back the release of Firefox 3.1 a few weeks to build it into a wide range of functions, which include highly touted “private browsing” mode, as well as its JavaScript engine optimizations and improvements in how the browser address bar works.
The timetable for the first beta of Firefox 3.1 is expected to see the light as soon as next week, while others feature complete Beta 2 is expected at the beginning of November. Mozilla anticipates that the final version before the end of this year or early 2009, with a set date is announced at a later time.
Firefox is still the second most used browser worldwide, with ~ 18% market share. In comparison Internet Explorer dominates on large around the 76.3% of users, and Safari comes in third 3.8%.
