Apple quickly retracted a few Mac OS X 10.6 tidbits leaked out of its Canadian subsidiary following the Worldwide Developers Conference keynote, but the Internet had nothing.

Scores of sites picked up on a press release that went out of Apple Canada, and was pulled at some stage after it went live. Including the donation, snow leopard - which Apple CEO Steve Jobs confirmed by the code name of 10.6 - the tendency to focus more on improving the basic plumbing, the operating system than to add anything catchy new features, such as the Unofficial Apple Weblog reported last week.

Apple-Bertrand Serla was supposed to focus on Apple’s developers in a closed session of the press on Monday afternoon to go over 10.6, and now we have some idea of what he tells them, a lot has been chagrin Apple PR, I suspect.
