LG BD300 Blu-Ray Player
LG Electronics and NEtFlix today revealed a new Blu-ray Disc player who is able to stream movies and TV episodes from NEtFlix directly to the TV. The player plays high-resolution Blu-ray discs and can upscale DVDs to 1080p. In addition, the new LG BD300 also receives LG SimpLink technology, which allows users to control similarly equipped LG TV and AV products through on-screen menu. Read about this earlier. Its a big step in the fight to not have Blu-ray players die out to pure digital media, though I’m sure it’ll happen eventually (read 5-10 years). The fact that NetFlix is the one offering all of these starter streaming services for Blu-ray also gives it a huge advantage over other companies that aren’t as quick to jump on board the Blu-ray Digital media.
