42GB DVD from Japan University
The has developed a new technology to record up to 42GB of data on one DVD. The 42GB capacity is to reach a recoding of information V-shape pits.
What is good for this technology is that we will be able to make the current DVD-burner to support the new DVD format simply by updating the firmware-ROM or by adding some components. Let’s wait and see if it can be a challenge for Blu-ray. (via)
